• Residence. In 1895, Edmund and Agnes were living in Johannesburg; he was still described as a clerk and they had another son, Manuel Ebenezer Gill, born 13 Aug 1895, baptised at St Peter's, Cradock, on 14 Sep following.

Edmund married Agnes Mary Burton on 16 Dec 1879.

• Info. Vol 2, page 463 of "South African Genealogies" (Heese & Lombard) has an Edmund Richard Gill who was married by special licence on 16 Dec 1879 to Agnes Burton. Unfortunately, they do not give the place or their source.
